V-VAS Knee Orthosis Ready for the Next Level

Munro and Jones of Anatomical Concepts along with orthopaedic surgeon Martin Buchan of Inverclyde Hospital, won a "Best Paper" prize at the BAPO Congress in 2008 for their paper on "Management of Severe OA Knee Problems - A customised knee orthosis"  Since then developments have progressed and a significant advance will take place shortly with the arrival of local manufacture of the V-VAS.

The 2008 BAPO presentation discussed very positive results with clients who had been in severe pain and yet could not be managed surgically.  The V-VAS orthosis proved itself to be very effective and now the case group includes over 100 cases with the majority of these braces provided by Munro and a growing number by trusted partners. Until now users have liked the device and orthotists and surgeons have happily prescribed it because it offered significant benefits at an affordable price.

During the trials of the V-VAS a custom cast of the user's leg was sent to the USA for manufacture by our partners.  As the volumes have grown Anatomical Concepts have sought to speed up the logistics and local manufacture will commence by January 2010.

If you are interested in learning more about the V-VAS contact William Munro or Derek Jones.
